The use of the Gardens, The Lakehouse, Terrace, Clan Room, Cellar or other areas for your Ceremony, photos and pre-dinner drinks are all offered free of charge, with one exception – if you wish to have your Ceremony and pre-dinner drinks in TWO separate areas – for example the Terrace for your Ceremony followed by The Lakehouse for pre-dinner drinks – then there is an extra charge of $120 for the higher staff costs required in setting up and later cleaning up TWO areas instead of one.

If you decide to have your wedding at Riverlea (with a minimum number of 50 guests) then you will be entitled to several hundred dollars worth of extras free of charge:

1. A full 3 course dinner for two at Restaurant 1912 (prior to your wedding) worth at least $100. At this time you can sample without charge the wines you have chosen for your reception, while any other drinks you pay normal price for. IF you come on a Thursday or Sunday and bring at least 6 other guests (say your Parents and/or some of your Bridal Party) then they will be given a 20% discount (which could be as much as $100 between them) on their food bill for the evening.

2. Accommodation for the Bridal Couple on the wedding night in your choice of our two 5 star bed and breakfast suites (normally $220 per night) including late checkout up to midday the next day.

3. This accommodation package also includes a further $85 worth of extras at no charge:

(i) On retiring, a drink of your choice for both of you together with a cheese platter and chocolates will all be provided in your suite
(ii) A full English style breakfast will be served to you in the privacy of your suite or on your private balcony at your choice of time from 9:00AM the following morning

You are very, very welcome to inspect our facilities but always by appointment please since we are a busy venue with the Restaurant itself being open 5 days per week, weekdays for lunch and dinner, plus for breakfast on weekends, and of course there are sometimes functions in The Atrium not just every Saturday, but also on many Fridays and Sundays as well, so naturally you can understand that there are certain times when we would not be able to give you as much of our time as we would like to do. We would be delighted to arrange a mutually suitable time for you to view all our facilities at a leisurely pace and to organise a sit-down meeting in our Restaurant over a coffee or tea to discuss all of your individual requirements, so please give us a call. Again due to the demands on our time, and depending on the actual time of day, you may sometimes get our answering machine when you call at certain times, but do please leave a message giving us your contact details and rest assured that we will get back to you very quickly.

Please also be assured that due to our many years of experience in all facets of the hospitality industry we really do have the knowledge and the expertise, plus very unique facilities that you simply won’t find elsewhere, and which all combine to play a really big part in making your wedding day all that you could possibly wish for.
