One of the most common observations our Wedding Reception customers make is how flexible we are compared with many other venues they get information from. They tell us we have many more standard Menu selections than other venues, same with the wide range of standard Drink Packages they can choose from, and they are often surprised, perhaps even delighted with the fact that we will even make time to sit-down and tailor-make a totally individual Menu of their choice to meet THEIR tastes not ours, and that we can also create a Drink Package of their choice/taste.

Plus they are often very pleased that we do not force our own rigid and restrictive timetable of events on them, but that in fact we are totally the opposite - we will make the time to sit down with them and work out in what order they want all the various events and then work out their timetable for those events, whereas they tell us that many venues try to dictate to them things like what time their ceremony has to be, what time each course will be served, where the dance brackets will be and how long and so on. But all we tell you is the start and finish time, and even that start time can vary if you want, depending on what time you wish to have your ceremony or if you want extra time for your pre-dinner drinks – you tell us the rest, we are totally flexible.

The versatility of our various function rooms and outdoor areas - “The Atrium”, “Restaurant 1912”, “The Terrace”, “The Lakehouse & Deck”, “The Cellar” and “The Clan Room” - makes them ideal for all events ranging from small, intimate Wedding Receptions for 20 to 40 guests thru to larger Receptions up to a maximum of 150 guests. This versatility allows our customers to tailor-make each and every Reception to their own individual needs and taste.

Because of the high standards required to run our very successful separate a la carte 5 star Restaurant (“Restaurant 1912”) and since we use the same kitchens and chefs to prepare our Wedding Reception meals then of course you will find our food is a much higher quality than the fairly “average” food you get from most other Wedding Reception venues. Our classically trained chefs provide the highest standards in cuisine and its presentation, while our friendly and experienced waiting staff provide the highest standards in service. By working and planning with every customer, we endeavour to make their day carefree and highly memorable.

Surrounded by hills and bushland, yet being less than 30 minutes drive from Melbourne’s CBD, Riverlea is the closest vineyard/restaurant/reception centre to the city. Set on 15 picturesque acres at the gateway to the Yarra Valley, Riverlea is only about 5 to 6 minutes drive from the "Eastland" shopping centre in Ringwood and the Ringwood Bypass end of both the Eastern and Eastlink Freeways. As mentioned above, the venue features several separate function/dining areas in three separate buildings on site. Firstly there is “The Atrium”, with its stunning glass roof that is fairy-lit at night, and with its adjoining dance-floor room looking out onto the vineyard thru several sets of glass doors. “The Atrium” is ideal for medium to reasonably large Wedding Receptions. Secondly there is “Restaurant 1912”, which is also available for smaller, more intimate Wedding Receptions (full 3 course “sit down” Receptions for 40 guests and under or “cocktail party/buffet style” Receptions for up to 70 guests) with DJ and dancing in the Cellar, while the third building, “The Lakehouse and Deck”, is frequently used for the actual Wedding Ceremony and/or as a pre-dinner drinks area.
