“Restaurant 1912”, with its unique décor loaded with rustic charm seats up to 35 for fine a la carte dining when operating purely as a restaurant, while underneath the Restaurant our Cellar (seating up to 25 patrons) is also available for intimate dining – as well as for small private functions such as birthday dinners etc.

The restaurant is open for Lunch and Dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights plus some Sunday nights (bookings only), and is also open for Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Bookings are always advisable as numbers are limited, plus we do book the Restaurant out for private functions quite often.

The Restaurant features modern Australian style cuisine, obviously utilising wines in a lot of the dishes or their accompanying sauces. Menus are seasonal so they change every few months since we use a lot of local (Yarra Valley) fresh produce. Our Menu always features a large variety of dishes – normally about 10 entrees, 8 to 10 main course dishes and 5 or 6 desserts, cheese platters etc. .

We also have an excellent Wine List which naturally features some of the best wines from local Yarra Valley vineyards plus wines from other states and New Zealand. This list varies according to availability and vintage.

The Restaurant and Cellar combined are available for smaller, more intimate Wedding Receptions (40 guests and under) with the DJ and dancing in the Cellar, We have also hosted buffet/cocktail party style functions for up to 80 guests, such as 40th and 50th birthdays, engagement parties and smaller corporate Xmas parties in the Restaurant, again having a DJ and dancing in the Cellar area.

We have two luxurious and romantic Bed & Breakfast suites situated one level above the Restaurant on the first floor. Each suite is decorated in a different “old world” provincial style – so one is called the “Irish Room” and the other the “French Room”.

Outside the restaurant are sweeping lawns leading down to the picturesque lake with its ducks and flowering water lilies. This large grassy area, with its surrounding garden beds and trees, is ideal for a relaxed outdoor lunch under one of our huge market umbrellas in warmer weather, particularly from mid September to mid April when all the roses are in bloom.
